1. General Terms (Applies to All Services)

1.1 Force Majeure

In the event that any service (retreats, coaching, workshops) is affected by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, travel restrictions, strikes, or governmental actions, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event.

Refunds are not guaranteed in force majeure circumstances. However, we will make every reasonable effort to provide refunds or offer credits for future events, minus any non-refundable costs already incurred (e.g., venue deposits or third-party fees). Any refunds will be issued at the sole discretion of Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken).

1.2 Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve any disputes through mediation first. If unresolved, legal action may be pursued in the courts of England and Wales.

1.3 Liability

Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) is not liable for any personal decisions or actions taken by clients based on the services provided. We do not provide legal, medical, or other professional advice. Participants attend all events and services at their own risk, and we are not liable for any injuries or health complications arising from participation in activities.

1.4 Intellectual Property

All materials provided during coaching sessions, workshops, and retreats (including but not limited to workbooks, slides, videos, or other content) are the intellectual property of Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken). Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for their personal development only. These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written permission from Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken).

1.5 Data Protection and GDPR Compliance

Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. We only collect, process, and store data necessary to deliver our services (e.g., your contact information, health information for retreats, or coaching notes). Your data will be securely stored and only retained for as long as necessary, as outlined in our Privacy Policy. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. 1.6 No Guarantee of Outcomes

Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken)
makes no guarantees about the results of the coaching, workshops, or retreats. While we strive to provide high-quality services and support, the success of any programme or service is largely dependent on your own commitment, participation, and implementation of the strategies and advice provided. No refunds will be provided based on dissatisfaction with the outcomes.

1.7 Testimonials and Marketing

By providing feedback or testimonials about your experience with Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken), you consent to the use of your words, likeness, or results in our marketing and promotional materials. You may revoke this consent at any time by contacting us at hello@lauraaiken.com.

2. Retreat-Specific Addendum

2.1 Payment Terms

  • A 20% deposit is required to secure your space. The full payment is due 60 days before the retreat. Payment plans are available, and details will be provided upon registration.

2.2 Late Payments

  • If payment is not received 60 days prior to the retreat, Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) reserves the right to cancel your reservation. Your deposit will be non-refundable, and the space will be offered to another participant.

2.3 Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Full refund if cancelled more than 60 days before the retreat.
  • 50% refund if cancelled up to 30 days before the retreat.
  • No refund within 14 days of the retreat.
  • Transfers to another participant are possible, subject to approval.

2.4 Information and Liability

For retreats, we collect health-related information (e.g., dietary requirements, injuries) during the registration process. This information is stored securely and used solely for the duration of the retreat to accommodate your needs. All health-related information is deleted following the conclusion of the retreat. Liability Waiver: Participants are responsible for providing accurate and complete health information. Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) will not be held liable for any injuries, health complications, or incidents that arise due to incomplete or inaccurate information. Participation in retreat activities is voluntary, and all participants attend at their own risk.

2.5 Participant Responsibilities

  • Participants are responsible for their own health and well-being during the retreat. Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) is not a medical provider, and the retreat is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
  • It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they are physically and mentally fit to participate in retreat activities, including yoga, hiking, or other physical activities. Participation in activities is voluntary, and participants assume all risks associated with the retreat.

3. Coaching-Specific Addendum

3.1 Payment Terms

  • One-off sessions: Payment is due within 10 days of the session, invoiced after completion.
  • Six-month packages: Payment is split into three instalments—upfront, halfway through the programme, and on completion. Payments are due within 10 days of each invoice.
  • Long-term packages: Invoiced monthly, with payments due within 10 days of the invoice date.

3.2 Late Payments

  • Coaching package payments are due within 10 days of the invoice date. If payment is not received within this period, a late fee of 1.5% per month will be applied to the outstanding balance. Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) reserves the right to suspend services if payment is not made within 30 days of the invoice due date.

3.3 Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Full refund if cancelled more than 30 days before the first session.
  • Partial refund based on the number of sessions delivered for cancellations within 30 days.
  • No refund within 7 days of the first session.

3.4 Confidentiality

All information shared during coaching sessions is confidential, with exceptions made only with explicit client consent (e.g., for case studies or testimonials). Confidentiality may also be waived if disclosure is required by law.

3.5 Commitment to Process

Coaching clients are expected to fully engage with the process, including attending scheduled sessions and preparing for discussions. The success of coaching depends on active participation from both parties.

4. Workshop-Specific Addendum

4.1 Payment Terms

  • A 20% deposit is required to secure the booking, with the remaining balance due within 30 days after the workshop.

4.2 Late Payments

  • Workshop payments are due within 30 days of the invoice date. If payment is not received within this period, a late fee of 1.5% per month will be applied to the outstanding balance. Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) reserves the right to suspend any remaining services if payment is not made within 60 days of the invoice due date.

4.3 Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Full refund if cancelled more than 30 days before the workshop.
  • Partial refund if cancelled within 30 days of the workshop.
  • No refund if cancelled within 7 days of the workshop.

4.4 Workshop Delivery and Expenses

Workshops may be delivered virtually or in person, as agreed between Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) and the client. For in-person workshops, any necessary travel and accommodation expenses will be invoiced based on actual costs incurred, supported by receipts.

4.5 Workshop Deliverables

No specific deliverables (e.g., workbooks) are guaranteed as part of the workshop. The focus is on the live experience provided during the event.

5 Terms and Conditions Overview and Agreement

These Terms and Conditions provide an overview of the policies for services offered by Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken). Specific agreements tailored to individual services (retreats, coaching, and workshops) will be provided and must be signed or consented to
upon registration for any service. Thrive Leadership Ltd (operating as Laura Aiken) reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any significant changes will be communicated to clients, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
